FAQ
How far in advance should we start planning our wedding?
A good time to start planning is anywhere from 9-12 months prior to the wedding date. You don’t want to wait until the last minute and feel overwhelmed, but you also don’t want to be planning for too long. I do recommend hiring your wedding coordinator right away, even for the ‘month of/day of’ package. You’ll want to get a contract signed to ensure the coordinator is available for your wedding date.
Why should we hire a wedding planner?
Hiring a planner is important to have a peace of mind that everything will run smoothly. You can truly enjoy your wedding day and spend time with your guests without worrying about the details.Wedding coordinators are professionals who have experience and industry relationships that will allow your wedding vision to come to life.
How much do you charge?
Pricing depends on many factors such as your guest count,service type,location,etc. To give an example, our full planning services for 100-150 guests start at $5k. This does not include design,travel fees,etc. Please visit our services page to find out more information on whats included in each service type.
What is the typical budget you work with?
We typically work with a minimum budget of $30,000-$50,000 with a guest count of 100-150, located in the Baltimore/DMV area.
My venue stated that they will have a venue coordinator, do we still need a wedding coordinator?
Absolutely! Yes you do and here's the reason why. A wedding coordinator works directly for you to make every aspect run smoothly, greet all your vendors, send out a timeline prior and to make sure you are having a great time celebrating. Also to ensure that your vision has become a reality.
On the other hand, a venue coordinator oversees the on site staff, to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations, serving food on time, etc. A lot of times the venue coordinator is not there for the duration of the event &/or they have other events they are overseeing on property during the same time.
What is your booking process?
We will start with an initial phone consultation to get to know one another and gather preliminary details about your event. Once you decide to book with us, we will send over a proposal,invoice for retainer and contract. The initial retainer is due to secure your date/start the planning process. The next step will be to schedule our first meeting to discuss budget,site visit and vendors. (Some proposals may be tentative until the final budget is created.)
